Restaurant Listings

When I fall for a new restaurant, a pet project develops. The mission: to return again and again, tasting as many dishes as possible, each one as many times as possible, until I’ve practically documented the entire menu. Perhaps it’s a little OCD of me, but I hope that you benefit from my mania.

Local favourites

This list features only restaurants that I have come to love after many repeat visits. How much is many? 1 visit a year for several years at minimum; several times a week at best (with cravings more often than that).

International favourites

Sometimes we don’t have the luxury of going to a restaurant more than once. Usually it’s because it was during a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a faraway land. Sometimes it’s because we, like most others, can’t afford to spend over $100 a person unless there’s a blue moon out. These restaurants are worthy of a mention here simply because my mouth still waters whenever I think about them. (Then I lament the reality of a limited budget and the 3 measly weeks a year of paid vacation.)

The jury’s still out

These are places that I am either still investigating or have classified as borderline. Regardless, I’ve frequent ed them enough to have documented their menus to a reasonable extent, so they merit their own restaurant listing.
