Tiny Bites savours everything that Vancouver’s culinary scene can offer. We hope to help you not only decide what to chew on tonight, but to keep you abreast of what the community is doing to promote sustainable dining and local, seasonal produce. You may also see recipes from our kitchens whenever inspiration hits.

Karen Hamilton

Karen Hamilton is the founder and now editor of the food blog that is Tiny Bites. A technology and communications expert by trade, she branched out in 2009 to launch Tiny Bites Consulting, a communications firm that helps people in British Columbia to manage their websites, email, and digital media effectively. She especially loves working with restaurants, hotels, growers, tourism supporters, and other businesses that help Vancouver make a name for itself throughout the globe.
In her spare time, Karen continues to write and photograph the food to be enjoyed in this city. She is paying particular attention to artisanal tea and is keeping an eye out for anything that she can eat with her toddler in tow.

Degan Beley: Libations Correspondent

Degan Beley is a food enthusiast who loves all that Vancouver has to offer, from sampling the smorgasboard of restaurants to messing around with whatever’s in the kitchen. A freelance writer by trade, she specialized in food, drink and technology, so feels lucky to live in Vancouver where exciting things are happening in both the tech and culinary industries. She has written for various print publications and websites and blogs regularly at SmokySweet.com, EthnicEats.ca, and Foodists.ca.
On Tiny Bites, Degan focussed on the wine, spirits, and other imbibables that make our city a great place to go for a drink.

Bruce Nguyen: Field Correspondent

Bruce Nguyen is a constant traveller thanks to his day job as a technology consultant for an IT bigwig. He has a penchant for exploring cities for hole-in-the-wall restaurants within walking distance of his hotel. He’s even taken Tiny Bites to Antarctica!
While Bruce believes the best Vietnamese food in the world can be found in Berlin, he also refuses to go back to Berlin, lest his belief structure come crashing down around him.
