I must say that republic isn’t a vietnamese sandwich shop at all and that’s where you went wrong. It’s a Thai noodle shop and they have always been. I’ve been eating there since 2004 and not once have they been referred to a sandwich shop, where are you getting your misguided information from?

holy smokes, that price tag! Then again, it’s not surprising as I lived in NYC for a year and was really disappointed by the Vietnamese food there.
