This is Blogathon post #13 of 48 in support of the David Suzuki Foundation
We’re a quarter of the way through, so below is a status report on the Blogathon and my personal experience with the Nature Challenge.
New supporters since post #1:
- My wonderful husband donated $20 to the cause. Thanks honey!
- Randy has pledged to sign up for the Nature Challenge. Thanks for the pledge and the dance, Randy!
I can’t imagine many Tiny Bites readers being up at this hour besides myself and fellow blogathoners, but if you are burning the midnight oil like we are, please say hello (and pledge, if it so pleases you).
My take on the Nature Challenge, one year later
In 2007, I signed up for the Nature Challenge, which at the time described 10 different ways that you could change your habits to conserve nature and contribute to a better quality of life for everyone on earth.
The Nature Challenge in 2008 now hones in on the top 4 areas where you can make the biggest difference:
My focus this year is on public action, as we spent most of 2007 cleaning up our habits in transportation, food, and energy. Hopefully this Blogathon counts as one way of taking action and spreading awareness / education.
If you plan to take the Nature Challenge or are already signed up for it, what are you focussing on in 2008?

Got something to say?

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I am a part of a organization called Treeforfree.(Charitable Trust)
It plants trees in and around Bangalore. Companies like Dell, Accenture, Honeywell etc have sponsored us.
Even Yahoo and Mintree are planting trees with us.
We also do awareness programs for children. This Saturday in conjunction with Surf Excel and Times of India and other NGOs we had a children Festival in CKP(Bangalore).
Till now this organization has planted over 5000 trees.
Since it’s a very good cause so I thought why not help it in other ways.
So I came across the idea of a website.
I have made a website to raise funds. Whatever amount I collect will be used in planting trees.

Do check out all the links on the site(stats, contributors, photos etc).
