Another favourite pie stop of ours is Savary Island Pie Company, a small but busy bakery that is steps away from Ambleside Park in West Vancouver.

Savary Island: strawberry-rhubarb pie a la mode

You can often find us spending a lazy summer afternoon strolling along Ambleside beach after a decadent chicken pot pie or tortiere lunch at Savary Island.

    okay, LOVE the pie .. but why is it so GD expensive?

    No idea! Let’s hope it’s because they use premium ingredients and not because they have high margins.

    Have you been to Aphrodite Cafe? Their pie prices are more reasonable (but I still prefer Savary Island’s pie and its proximity to park and beach).

    A La Mode does great pot pie and meringue and is cheaper than Savary Island. But not by much.
