Exploring the drink menu at Alpha Global Sushi & Bar

2 Comments July 26, 2008

This is Blogathon post #14 of 48 in support of the David Suzuki Foundation

Alpha is my favourite Vancouver izakaya by a country mile. I’ve been patronizing this cosy Japanese tapas bar for the past two years, and they haven’t stopped with the inventive meals and even more imaginative cocktails.

Alpha: pink holiday

Since I’ve documented nearly every item on their regular menu, please let me shift your focus to Alpha’s range of affordable cocktails, martinis, and frozen drinks. The Yellow Soul, with rum, banana, mango, and red wine, is the one I particularly enjoy (and I don’t generally like drinks with banana in it). If the week’s fresh sheet lists the Aloe Sky, make sure you don’t miss the opportunity to try that one either.

Alpha: miso teriyaki beef Alpha: creamy seafood croquette Alpha: menu with mystique Alpha: cheese souffle Alpha: ebi sunomono Alpha: pumpkin croquette Alpha: alpha roll Alpha: Alpha: goma-ae Alpha: salmon carpaccio Alpha: matcha ice cream with red bean Alpha: coming right up Alpha: tako-paccio Alpha: yuzu cocktail Alpha: edamame Alpha: tako wasabi Alpha: tako wasabi Alpha: storefront Alpha: cod fish Alpha: yellow soul Alpha: pumpkin croquette Alpha: dill salmon californa roll Alpha: dynamite roll Alpha: sake martini Alpha: aloe sky Alpha: pimp my tofu Alpha: dill salmon california roll Alpha: mudslide Inside Alpha Alpha: game Alpha: spicy tuna roll Alpha: pink holiday Alpha: all night Nippon Alpha: unagi california Alpha: ebi mayo Alpha: samurai rock Alpha: plum wine Alpha: blueberry cheesecake Alpha: celebration Alpha: shime saba salad Inside Alpha Alpha: tan taka tan shochu Alpha: dill salmon cali roll Inside Alpha: Yuji-san and Tada-san Alpha: cherry boy Alpha: colourful toast Alpha: ume martini Inside Alpha on Halloween Alpha: strawberry chi-chi

Way to go on blogging!! Thought you could use some late night/early morning support. I find that many Japanese restaurants offer cool drinks…I particularly like Posh’s drink menu! The restaurant itself isn’t so great, though. =(

    Hi Christina,

Thanks again for waking up early and keeping me company via comments =)

    Where is Posh?

Got something to say?
