Tiny Bites stumbles onto WordPress 2.6

1 Comment July 15, 2008

My apologies if you tried to visit the site today and got a site maintenance message (or worse, an empty blog).

Tiny Bites was upgraded to the latest version of WordPress, which did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. After several database restores and retries, I finally remembered that I had installed the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin during the last migration to WordPress 2.5. Five minutes later, Tiny Bites was humming along on v2.6. I will never forget about this plugin again…

…and I suggest that you install said plugin before attempting your upgrade.

Actually, that plug-in made my day so much better this morning. It really made the upgrade soo much easier.

Got something to say?
