Gearing up for SteakCamp 2008

6 Comments Karen HamiltonJune 21, 2008

As we made our way back downtown from a friend’s engagement bbq and headed to Cafe Crepe to fulfill a sweet tooth craving, it dawned on me that we were going to drive past the The Brave Bull, the little diner that could, and the object of much discussion in the Twitter foodie community.

My friends indulged my wish to snap shots of the place that will host SteakCamp 2008. This place looks even scarier in the dark!

    Karen, and potential customers

I went by today hoping I could talk to the owner and warn her that I’d be bringing a large group, and the place doesn’t look scary at all during the day. Admittedly, the rave reviews it has are from 1997, but that’s what makes Buzz’s challenge even more exciting – we get to get now our own 2008 reviews on their windows!

From outside, the place looks clean and I have been receiving comments on my blog that people loved the place. So I am hoping that we’ll have a good time. Eat, drink, be merry and blog about it – that’s my philosophy!

Rastin and Buzz: Thanks! Food photography to come.

Andrew: Thanks for going round the block for another go…I should have checked that my lens cap was off long before I had to click the shutter =)

Raul: People have been approaching me the past few days to vouch for the Bull. We drove past it again yesterday afternoon and witnessed several people exit with smiles on their faces. I’m sure we’ll have a blast at SteakCamp!

[...] not just reviewing only the high-end establishments“. We both bravely accepted (my response – Karen’s response) and I actually found it kind of funny as the restaurant is called “The Brave Bull”. [...]

Got something to say?
