Contest alert! Will David Suzuki dig your garden?

David Suzuki Digs My Garden photo contest

If you haven’t noticed that David Suzuki is my hero, you will see much evidence of it over the course of Summer 2008. That’s because the David Suzuki Foundation is revving up for this year’s David Suzuki Digs My Garden photo contest.

Our growing balcony garden

This is the fledgling herb and tomato garden that we’ve amassed over the past few weeks. It’ll take a labour of love to get it photogenic enough to enter it as a Balcony Bliss submission (this year’s newest contest category). We hope that the gardening tips we’ll receive by participating in this contest will help us to enjoy fresh, herbtastic meals for the months to come.

Here are some quick links for the contest which runs from June 4 – September 1, 2008:

Happy gardening!

Hi Karen, thanks for the shout out for the Garden Contest!
We’re really excited about the campaign, and with luck it will help push the rest of Canada to ban cosmetic garden pesticides (Quebec has already done it, and Ontario has announced similar plans.)

    Those herbs look delicious.

The Suzuki Garden Gnome begins his quest June 4, 2008.
